Title: Troubled Troubadours
Post by: tarascon on February 23, 2014, 04:44:41 PM
Of course one may pick bizarre musical folks from elsewhere. If one absolutely must be a cheeky monkey.
But I'd prefer to see the United Kingdoms lads and lassies.

My OP pick:
Billy Childish, lowfi god and mad genius of Thee Headcoats, etc.

OK, I changed the name of this thread. It is no longer about eccentric UK musicians alone.
Just pick weirdo musicians from anywhere.

Bea, I'm happy to hear you're into Mr. Childish. Not many folks seem to remember him or the bands he sponsored. Here's a band he sort of created: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thee_Headcoatees (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thee_Headcoatees)

And later, on her own: Holly Golightly.

I can't get YouTube links to post clips.

It's just the "BprhgIlVO6s" you put between the tags. So your link looks like this:

That's really disturbing.

I found it very hard to believe.  Not that I thought it wasn't true, it's just that my brain couldn't/wouldn't accept it.

For me it's exactly the opposite. That's the Elvis I knew first. Then I knew his movies. Then I knew the rest.
