Hit a dog (they are considered pets) with the car and you have to report it to the police, but not cats the are classed as wild.

It's really sad.  Even if the cat has a collar with a name on it, the person who
hits it isn't legally required to notify anyone  :(

I'm afraid not.  :(

Under the terms of the Road Traffic Act you must report accidents to the police involving Dogs, Goats, Cows, Horse, Ass, Mule, Pig and Sheep. Also an accident involving injury to a person whether in vehicle or otherwise.

But not wild animals  :(

That's okay. I didn't specify what each pet was. And I won't mention Hitler to her.  :D But that name would fit Mateo... His nickname is Evil-doer.  :D
