Spoiler (hover to show)
the new assistant opens up all sorts of possibilities.

I must confess that's one of the things I'm looking forward to in this series.

Probably true :P

I have group plans though to watch the pre-show show(Dr. Who:  the ultimate guide), then the first episode. So that would sort of spoil those plans if I cheated and watched it first ::)

Im afraid to say, but......it just seems so.......forget it. I cant handle the pressure. Ill keep watching, maybe my opinion will change. And my daughter loves it so at least someone will be getting something out of it.

I am absolutely certain that it is already available.

Somewhere.
It absolutely is.

I think I want to give it a go of watching it, but with a show that expansive...what's a good place to start?

Read Wikipedia. Watch 'Dr. Who: the ultimate guide' on BBC America the 17th... then.. just go with it :D

I think the age of the leads they chose this season was a cool idea.

That was my thought too. But I know the Dr. reinvents himself quite often so Im going with this season.

Yeah, I was thinking of starting with the last iteration of the Dr. but wanted to see if any of the Whovillians (wounds evil huh?) had any input.

just go with the new incarnation. If there is some information missed which is important, they will usually tell it. After all, they want to get new fans of the show and not only stick to those who already are.

And by the way, what about his new assistant.  ;) ;) ;)
