I finally broke the 210lb barrier this morning, weighing in at 209.4 this morning.

I believe we are exactly the same weight. Exactly! However, this is the heaviest I've ever been and it came as a bit of a shock.

Turns out the scales were incorrect.  It seems I'm more like 185lb.

I dunno..

I'm often forgetting little details and stuff so I have a computer program that regularly alerts me to things that need to be done.

Today it said "Begin to thaw turkey.  Now."  Ha.  Hopefully it's not freezer burned.

I have something like that too. I call her the "missus".

Now if I could only learn how to listen..

You could always set the "head slap" feature on her.  Also, I warn against ever mentioning "upgrading".

Head slapping people of our persuasion tends to wake up the neighbours. That doesn't stop my daughter from doing it at every opportunity.

I upgrade all the time, but buying new clothes, shoes and jewellery doesn't make her any louder?

I should really learn to listen.

Roommate had slow internet, so he called the isp, who did something fucky to the modem. He then told me to "fix it". I heard the words "apache web server" when he was on the phone, so I knew we were dealing with class act gnomes at the other end.

I had to to multiple hard resets with a bobby pin, felt like I was in fallout 3 for a minute.

I haven't told him it's back up yet.

Why would "apache web server" equate to "class act gnomes" except of course in context of a cable modem.  Apache is still the most used web server on the Internet.

Kinda like me looking up a car problem and deciding it's 403 forbidden, so it's time to buy a new car, or hitting webMD and deciding it's definitely cancer.

Meh, beats yesterday's tech problems.

Didn't Apaches use to cause a whole mess of fuss? Or, now I think of it, wasn't that the settlers..
