Comparing 39 Steps versions: "More better".

I know this is not unusual, but you've lost me.

Multiple filmed versions of "The 39 Steps". Richard Hannay played by: Robert Powell "Standard", Kenneth More "Better", and Robert Donat "Best".

Keep up at the back.

Ahah (again)! Moore better than Lazenby?

I burned through the first season of got in one sitting [see thread]

Then I puked my guts out and missed the rest of the free weekend, so now I have to row row row a boat, gently down a... well you know.

And there lies the problem. When I was watching it on the teevee, the dumbfuckraki were subtitled. Streaming? Not so much. So Khaleesi is bitchin' out her raki, but it isn't the king's english she be speaking.

And as much as I would like to go back to the days when my boss literally paid me to build my ratio at work, I dare not risk the isp strikes from downloading haitch-bo shows.

I dunno, are there streaming sites with subtitles? This question is purely theoretical. Still, Tyrion was dope in 2x01.

poo, TV talk makes me miss the ever bannable sabin, who made the mentalist interesting. He thought the serial killer antagonist was a split personality of the fake psychic protaganist.

Which was better than what the show actually delivered.

Watching Westworld.  Well done, although predictable in many ways.  A couple more episodes to close out season 1.  Then, back to the Man in the High Castle.  We're also re-watching Breaking Bad, now up to the middle of the last season.  It is well done and really holds  up to re-viewing, although we waited a couple years.

I'm open to other suggestions, as I'll be running out soon.  Any good sci fi that I might have missed?

i'm rewatching gilmore girls and hate it much less than i did the first time around when
i got sucked in and had to finish just to know how it ended..

a show that i discovered this year is you're the worst.. very well done

and someone above mentioned that orphan black jumped the shark .. i just rewatched it and feel that they did a really good job by writing a story that makes more sense the second time around.  i mean sure there are plot holes (do they all HAVE to be slim and trim?, but i really like what the main actress does with all those characters ..

Hi Discover99, it's nice to see you again.  I just finished the third season of You're the Worst.  It wasn't particularly strong.

I need to catch up on Orphan Black as I left off when they were between seasons.  I don't know if I can handle Gilmore Girls.  I'll check an episode when I get some time.

Been a while Disco'. Glad to see you're still around.

The only thing I seem to enjoy at the moment is the latest series of Supernatural.

I was a little sceptical about a season 12 as I had no idea where they could go from a season that featured God. To my surprise, so far this current instalment is better than perhaps the last 3 seasons.

I watched season 1 of The OA yesterday.  It was entertaining. Don't know how I felt about the ending or the prospects for season 2.

Now I want to watch something else, but haven't a clue what to watch.

Always the best place to start.

Now I think of it, over the years they've had to rumble with quite a few deities. However, last season it featured the one that is biblical.

I really like watching The Chase. Perhaps I've said that already?..
