I'm thinking of "English Muffins" (kind of a lame imitation of crumpets sold in the U.S., yeasted, with cornmeal dusting) that, in my experience, are not sold in England. They are supposed to be for breakfast. I use them for burgers.
French Poodles (not called that in France) etc.N
Can you think of any others?

Brazilian wax - disappointed to find no Wikipedia entry to determine if this is legitimately Brazilian.
The "French disease" (syphillis)

This style was first called the Brazilian wax by the J. Sisters salon in Manhattan, founded in 1987 by seven sisters named Padilha from Brazil.

Thanks, dweez. It never occurred to me to check "Bikini Waxing."
Gary McCord, the golf announcer, got into trouble for saying the greens at Augusta National were "bikini waxed." Americans can be so Puritanical.

That said, "Bikini" somehow has some reference to the Bikini atoll, where Americans tested early atomic bombs. I'm not clear what that has to do with a minimal, revealing 2 piece swimsuit, other than the "bi" = 2 prefix.
