Not a big fan of spiders. Creepy crawly things creep me out.
BTW, my brother was bitten by a brown recluse on his back near his waist (doctor believes he must have rolled over on it in his sleep). It didn't turn into necrotizing fasciitis (as it can) but he started getting painful, discolored lumps around his groin area. After a few days, he called his doc and was told to get to the hospital right away. Luckily the doc recognized the symptoms and my brother was treated right away. The doc then told him that if he ever experienced something like this again, contact him right away, night or day.
We have a spider here in the states that lives in the southwestern states.
Its so deadly, it can kill a man just by glancing at him.
I have a black widow problem at my house. I sprayed earlier this summer, but they're back :(We are lucky because we don't have those kind of monsters here.
These pictures of a Golden Orb Weaver made me poop my pants

As far as I know, these aren't fake :o
Those pics all look fake, and I'm hoping they are :o
Well no, the first couple(or a couple of them, can't remember what order) did look kind of real.
It's so hard to tell now-a-days with every other person being a photoshop expert. :P
especially hate it when they do that hoppy jumpy thing ???
Apparently it is real? (http://www.trendite.net/2008/10/23/mammoth-golden-orb-weaver-spider-eating-chestnut-breeded-mannikin-bird-pictures/)
The guy should have helped the bird instead of film the slow painful death. :'(
It is just nature in all it's savage glory. The bird lives, the spider starves. It's no different from all the things we have seen about lions hunting.
true. :P
I guess I was referring more to the environment of it all.
I mean the whole thing was taking place in someone's yard.
That gives a different feel than watching it or filming it where it would naturally occur.
Maybe I'm too soft. :P
And I doubt a behemoth like that would die from skipping one meal for the day. :D

by this time Frank must definitely need a change of underwear - although I have heard, that is not uncommon in his case.
huge jumping spiders in the everglades that were capable of catching and eating a dog or small child. 8)
Do you have a dog and/or small child you need disposed of? :D
;D:D :D
In all seriousness, they were huge though.
It was the mosquitoes that would dive bomb, grab a small child, and carry them away to their nest. :P

The Spiders you need to avoid are Phoneutrea Nigriventer.WOW.
The Brazilian Wandering Spider.
These things aren't afraid of people,in fact they'll rear up on their hind legs and run at you.
80% of bites are fatal,they're very aggressive.(http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg286/Geemonster_2008/PhoneutreaNigriventer-1.jpg)

Holy gawd. That goes against all logical processes of nature. Little thing is supposed to run away from big thing.
Why didn't they name it the Brazilian Attack Spider? :o
Have you ever made contact with one of those?
Frankunny. ::)
I bet they're quick. I would scream like a little girl as I tried to run away.
That sounds very dirty :o
stick your hand somewhere that hasn't been accessed in
a while.....
I learned at a very early age to always check where I was going to put my
hands.......

Spider (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0278731/) is on TV right now!
I know, right? :D
If I saw that in real life, I doubt I'd stay around to make sure it's a dog and not a giant spider
Thats one of the reasons I carry a gun.
Anything the size of a dog, or flying away after drinking a magic cocktial is a target for me lmao...

There was a gianormous wasp in my bathroom this morning. I don't have bug spray.. so I sprayed it with Simple Green which stunned it. Then I scooped it up and flushed it :)Steak and eat it.

I actually looked up simple green just so I can be informed and in case I wake up one day to a wasp :D
^ frog spotting actually sounds fun, not boring.
LOL.. heh it's biodegradable so might not have harmed him :P ..the intent was just to knock him out of his high spot so I could grab him ::)
Most bugs and spiders I find inside, I catch and release outside. But I've gotten mild reactions to some bees and wasps before, so they don't get redemption since I don't want to risk getting stung :D
Ive had wasps and thing sting me for no reason other than they are mean bastards.
Ive seen them sting a dog to death. This past summer a toddler was stung 16 times in just a few seconds. It almost died.
:D
Dude, it's the whip and tights. Too intimidating. :D
:-\ :'( :(
