When I lived in Florida, we had huge jumping spiders in the everglades that were capable of catching and eating a dog or small child.  8)

In all seriousness, they were huge though.

It was the mosquitoes that would dive bomb, grab a small child, and carry them away to their nest.  :P

Australia ia the place for nasty spiders,,
When I lived there we had to knock our shoes out every morning for fear of funnel web spiders.
Theyr nasty as hell.
I keep my standards low.
That way im never disapointed.

I smacked one that big last night on the computer that got in when I let the dog in and the splatter was so evident that I think I got some on my shirt!
