Today, after finally remembering my password, I logged into my Guild Wars account and noticed my main character has had his hairstyle changed >:(
I can't seem to find anything on it with the Google and am wondering if any of you knew if there was an update or something that changed all the hairstyles.
This is very upsetting for me, because it was a nice colour and I've had the little scamp since the very beginning. It's not really upsetting, just annoying someone changed my work without permission.

maybe you should write them and is guild wars like wow ?
-
I've no played WOW, but I think they're very similar. They're both MMORPG, and have funny monsters and magic powers. With Guild Wars you don't pay a monthly subscription fee, which is the main reason I started playing it.
-
is guild wars free? i remember seeing a mountain dew commercial with guild war characters.
-
You pay for it when you first buy it, and then pay for the expansions (if you want them).
I'm not sure how it compares with World of Warcraft, but a friend of mine who was well into Guild Wars now prefers WoW.

I've played the original about twice, I got myself a pet pig and was absolutely insane about protecting it from harm.
I got to my first two person puzzle (one turns the crank, the other goes through and turns the other crank, got frustrated, and quit.
I doubt my archer still exists.

I didn't like that mission, nobody would be my friend.
Your archer probably still exists, I read somewhere the account is permanent. You could try to log in and see what birthday presents you've received, maybe your pig has friends now!

My pig is gone! NO!
Ah well, learned how to charm animals and now I've got a tiger.
If you actually load your game up, your old hair style will return. My cousin and I loaded GW up last night, and my archer was still alive.
Now I'm wrapping up quests I started in school :P

I've been trying to get back into Guild Wars, but I'm finding the thought of spending hours doing all those missions I haven't completed just daunting. And I've forgotten my password :-[

haha, this thread is ancient, and by all rights should be left dead, but I'm now in the boat chekovsulu was then.
Interestingly enough, this thread caused a massive resurgence of Guild Warring in my household. My cousin and I power ground in the noob area to the point that the only way to gain more XP was to die constantly.
I even sprung for a collectors edition on amazon. The first order was shipped sans key, and the seller told me to golly off when I told him about the problem.
Filed a resolution with amazon and got a full refund.
Second order was mint in box, as the first auction claimed to be. Got my fancy dragon. And then, just kinda burned out. A lot of poo went down. We had to sell the house, I had to go to New Jersey.
I'm back in CA, and I hadn't even thought of this game in more than a year.
I don't remember my password, but I wonder if my hairstyle has been forgotten.

I know a few people who work for Amazon, both .com and .uk. If any of you need advice, just pass it on and I can ask them.

Oh, they handled it great. Full refund.
