When I started my computer it made a shrieking beeping noise, I thought "hardware failure" but it proceeded to boot just fine.
I am confused.
It was the polar opposite of apple's happy chime when it turns on. (I'm sure c would say that's the "normal" windows ding) (Or like a "Warning! You are using a windows machine!" sticker.)
"Uh, it's probably not a problem, probably, but I'm showing a small discrepancy in... well, no, it's well within acceptable bounds again. Sustaining sequence."

I looked online and one suggestion was a RAM failure, like one of the DIMMs is on the fritz. Apparently there is diagnostic software to determine if this is the case, but I may be completely wrong.

It does that one occasionally, juggling the ram sticks fixes it. My guess is gas.
Either way it's been up about 10 hours without fail, I checked the ram with software, all good.
I figure when you get a franken PC such as this, it's best to roll with it.
