Title: The Walking Dead.
Post by: 8ullfrog on November 10, 2012, 08:45:11 PM
I stopped reading The Walking Dead all the way back when the group ran afoul of the Governor. When Rick got his hand chopped off it was just a line too far for me, I was tired of watching even the most meager upticks lead to devastation.

Recently had a friend gleefully inform me that my favorite character of the series had his head crushed with a bat after a game of "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" with a bless'ed one note joke of a biker army.

How 'bout you? Still reading? Or did they cross a line for you too?

Prefer to have the main characters in a book left alive

I cannot ever prefer that. Stephen King made sure of that with a quote of his a long time ago.

I didn't say who died.

I had to step to the plate and talk about it.  I've wanted to talk about it with someone who read the comic for awhile.  I figured something else will get spilled eventually.  Let me know when you catch up 8ullfrog.

I stopped reading the book because I didn't want to see them kill off my favorite character. Took them a while, but they did get around to it.

The walking dead is dead to me.

They've already lost the fight to save "humanity" because not a single person in the comic or the show has a sense of humor. And what is human if not the ability to laugh in the face of horror or the absurd?

I've never seen the show or read the comic book, but I just started playing the game and it's pretty good. It's kind of cool and spooky that all the towns (so far) are actual places near where I live.

When the Zombie Apocalypse comes, all the undead will be near where we live.  ;)
