Is the Island answer enough ?

It most certainly is.

Guernsey?

Saint Peter Port?

It's small so Guernsey will suffice.

Kanji characters are a clue in themselves.

You keep asking these questions about me blurring things. Most of the times I don't think much about it and I do it just in case. It just takes me a few seconds.

I know some Kanji (although Hiragana and Katakana are easier for me), but I can't see them in the pictures.

Time to get the specs out methinks.

That is actually Katakana and not Kanji.  Katakana is primarily used for foreign words like coffee and cake as they do not exist in the Japanese language.  That said, I'm not why they'd spell Sapporo like that - possibly because of the beer?

Sapporo, Nihon?

I'm a complete ignorant of the Japanese language. Probably of everything Japanese I'm afraid. But I've tried Sapporo beer.  ;D

Oh come on, you must have tried sake?

I take it the Argentinian government had no interest in a Japanese treaty like Brazil's?
