He wrote the Satanical verses, the Ayatollah went apeshit over it, he came to Norway, had his book published,
at which point both him and the publisher, William Nygaard, (as well as several others who were asociated with
translations/publishing) had a fatwa declared on them and William Nygaard was shoot, and barely survived, in his drive way in oslo...

So... Not so much, no... ;)

I know what he has written, but why would you think him worth hanging for writing this?  It's hardly the war in Iraq?
