there is a particularly nasty virus that may hit some computers on July 9th, after the FBI stops support that has been keeping it in check for the public. a little complicated, but there is a link in the story from the FBI that can tell if your computer has it.

I was paranoid for second and then I realized I had a mac. hehe just kidding.
the government should give out free copies of virus protection

This makes me glad I have my main comp' sandboxed.
As long as no one writes a virus that stops the manufacturing of beer and/or doughnuts, I'm good.

I also became paranoid until i remembered I run a linux pc ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Sugar only my laptop is linux for the moment.
checked and all ok on my pc.

I'm on my sister's PC and she uses Avast.
Think I should get offline already? ;D

This malware affects DNS. I've read some reports that it can even hit SOHO routers. So saying "I'm on Mac/Linux" isn't necessarily a guarantee.
