Tomorrow, believe it or not, is my 50th birthday. I'm sort of in shock myself as the last 13 years have evaporated without notice so I was still under the impression I was thirty-something. I don't feel 50 most of the time, most of the time I feel 70 but I digress.
I thought I'd wish myself happy birthday as I am at Glorious Goodwood during the day so I won't be around the chit chat. That said, if I do well on the horsies I may never be seen again! But that's extremely unlikely.
The following day marks the incident that ended in my mother's demise and is the first anniversary of the event. It's sad that it is so near my birthday but it would have been worse had it been the day before rather than the day after. I will be out that day too visiting the grave and paying my respects.
The following day I'm back off to St Lucia so I'll be awake with the folk from the Americas for a couple of weeks. That means I'll know when your burning the candle at both ends, XT.
As a footnote I have just been informed that I am being taken out to dinner in my most favourite restaurant of all time which is La Pont De La Tour by Tower Bridge. I can't believe it as I haven't been there for about.... well about 13 years now I think of it.

Thank you peeps. I actually feel younger today. Either that or it's the half dozen oysters I ate last night having a party down below.
I'm on the train to Goodwood and the smell of heavy perfume is unbearable. All the Richmond enclosure ladies are on board. Where's their limousines?

I had 3 winners @ 8/1, 6/1 and another 8/1. I wagered a total of £35 and got bacl £125. Not quite enough to ride off into the sunset, but it made my day to be absolutely perfect.

The term "famous last words" comes to mind.
St Lucia in the morning and then I get the chance celebrate my birthday with my friends there. Come on liver, you can do it!!
