There's an artist I saw earlier this year that makes robot out of vintage found objects.. I need to go find his info again.. his stuff is cool.

If it helps any, discharge as dweez implies would mean that it would have to be the military that gave him a hand/tit/blow/foot/ass/vagina/armpit/legpit jobbie. 
That wouldn't make sense because I don't think the US military engages in much more than bless'ed people in the ass.

That tombstone is awesome BTW  :)

Not sure about anymore but it used to be a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy.  You could be gay, but as long as your superiors didn't know, it was fine.  If they ever found out, you got kicked out.
