Huh, It was funny under Bush but I can see a take going sour now.

My favorite joke is the doctor who talks about his ex wife being a pilot. She crashes her plane in a sight gag.

As for Carl's Jr, I still say their slogan is "golly YOU I'M EATING"

Apparently Costco tells employees to never say "Welcome to Costco, I love you."

I once had a roommate who liked to make those.  Mine has more stuff in it so it gets pretty messy once removed from the pan and put onto a plate.

Adventures in baking:
I bake blueberry muffins frequently and they usually turn out fine, but recently I bought and froze some utterly flavorless blueberries.  In order to give them some flavor, I squeezed a small lemon and tossed the fruit in it.  They got a little wet and as a result all the fruit sank to the bottoms of the muffins.  When I attempt to put them in the oven to reheat, they stick to the racks and make a mess.  I guess I'll have to drain them and toss them in flour to avoid this in the future.  At least they taste ok.

It's too hot to cook and the temptation to go get a slice of pizza is very high.

Idiocracy, 2006.
I got halfway through before I just gave up.  Depressing and stupid effort at humor.
Mike Judge should stick to Beavis and scoundrel.  I liked them.

poo, my regular streaming site appears to have been killed by cloudflare. This absolutely sucks, finding a new streaming site that doesn't try to malwarefuck my browser is difficult.

I should have diversified my bonds. Wu Tang Financial warned me!

I got lucky, only my old mirror is dead. The new mirror worked great! And the new episode of murderbot was both highly amusing and infuriatingly short.

It sounds like a great adventure.
Glad you are back.

It's hot here.  Like triple digit hot.  I went out and bought a couple more fans today and am lying in front of an air conditioner.

Oh, and our president is a moron as well as a bully.  They should have an entrance exam for anyone aspiring to the position that demonstrates their proficiency in the basics of Constitutional knowledge.  I keep hoping the earth will open up and swallow him.

I have been watching murderbot. It is an incredibly fun show but the episodes are infuriatingly short.

Like if the episodes were an hour, it would be an amazing show. 20 minute episodes are almost a youtube video at this point.

I also want to know what the deal with the wormhole is. Everyone has to travel through the wormhole, and even the in universe media mentions the wormhole.

I read one of the books in the murderbot series, Network Effect.  It was entertaining.  I did not feel compelled to read more in the series but I can see how it would make for interesting tv.  The wormhole seems to be the main transport but it's been so long since I read the book, I can barely remember it.  Maybe it's explained in the first of the books?  I think I was looking for Hugo award winners as I searched for some new SciFi novel to read and stumbled across that one.  I think it's been made into a movie.  I'll see if I can scare it up.

It's nice to see you back, goldie.  I hadn't heard of that show so I'll see if I can find it as it sounds promising.

Forgot to say to Smokes that the Campervan had a spat driving for 8 hrs in +30deg from Cognac and decided to shed the coolant everywhere.
Luckily we were 5 mins from the campsite and managed to get a tent for 2 nights which the Insurance are paying for (had 20 mins to empty what we needed prior to the garage collecting the van)

An amazing terraced site that I imagine has some ancient history, luckily we found the site was on The Camino, which I cycled and walked with the wife (who subsequently twisted her angle again).
All turned out OK with the Van except a front axel problem stopped us going further to Galicia, but another great site was found nearer the ferry port of Bilbao, so a great time was had.
