6pairsofshoes:
An app that gives the liner notes of vinyl albums.
Things that keep me up at night:
Are there horns on Cheryl Lynn's 1978 "Got to be real" or are those synthesizers?  Wikipedia is useless.  And nobody seems to think I'd want to see the reverse of the record sleeve on ebay.  I just want to see the credits.  That song gets lots of play, particularly by DJs at weddings.  I think that an ad by Marks & Spencer gave it a new life in the new millenium.  I know there's more pressing issues to be solved, and I can't do anything about the war in the middle East, but this would help me sleep.

You're not wrong. For my mom's trip, I imported a ton of songs onto her phone through itunes. The amount of 70's albums that come up with no album art were staggering. Let alone liner notes.

I've also noted Bing is starting to kick back "No results" a lot, which is something I had never seen with a search engine before. It's not even obscure stuff, I was trying to find filming locations for WB shows because I enjoyed a youtube video about the old WB "ranch".

Pretty sure the VP330 was the first synth with brass and that was 1979. Even then, you couldn't really MTR it to sound like it was being blown. I think David Paich did everything else.

By the way, full credits are here on the track listing:

Doesn't mention horns, but they are horns 100%. They certainly use brass players on track 8.

Even better:

6pairsofshoes:
Thanks, smokes.  I had checked Wiki first and saw no mention of horns, which led me to fuss about it here.
I finally located credits on allmusic.com  But it's for a reissue and probably includes multiple tracks and sessions.
They list Bobby Findley, Gary Grant and Bobby Shaw on trumpet, richard Hyde & richard Nash on Trombone; Pete Christlieb, Gene Cipriano, & Ernie Watts on Woodwind (presumably any instrument with a reeded mouthpiece?).  David Paich is credited with keyboards as as composer who did all the instrumental arrangements:  horn, rhythm & string.
