Can't remember having this much rain in April and May, lots of local flooding, basements full of water, and roads washed out. It's been raining heavily all day again and isn't supposed to stop until Sunday afternoon. Getting kinda depressing.
-
whereas in UK where I live we havent seen a lot of rain for a change, Summer is on its wat though who knows
-
It's getting worse now, mudslides causing road closures, water front homes being evacuated.
-
April in the U.K is historically the rainy month. However, this year I think we saw about 45% of the average for the month and all I can say is, it has to go somewhere (wink wink).

Thanks :D, glad you're having an above average spring. Looks like the rain has let up for now, hopefully that will be the end of the downpours for a bit.

Odds are, one of us just jinxed it. Possibly both of us.

Didn't check the roof the other day and the drain was clogged eith those long clump leaves from the trees. Water came all through the house .which sucked nuts.

grey again, came home from work and the heating was on ?????

The Joy of British weather
I hear ya, now that the rain has ended and the sun has returned, with it came high pressure cold. We had a frost warning this morning and the temp was 34F, 20 degrees below normal for this time of year.
-
.... the rain has ended ....
I think it was homesick as it's turned gloomy all of a sudden.
-
forecast 23 hours of rain Thursday to Friday night, we will see though as not much confidence in our weather forecasters
-
Jayzus! Today was like the Caribbean - without the rain!
I think I'll try and jinx things again...
-
this afternoon was like the Caribbean with rain, Wow it sure came down
-
Lemme know when it clears up over there so I can prepare for our next bout ;D
-
;)

It's the dry season here. We could do with a little rain. It would make weeding easier and the plants would enjoy it.
-
odd day rain even day dry :-\

Changes by the hour for me.

-
Rain for the next 3 days---again. If smokes is right, it should be nice over there ;D
-
Yes, it has been fine for a day or two but early to midweek it was horrendous.
It seems we have rain-tennis.
-
Well, now it's 91f and humid, the rain wasn't so bad after all.
-
That's about what it's going to be over the next couple of days.
Come back rain, all is forgiven!

LOL The Brits and the weather

Got a good chuckle out of that, I feel the same. It's hot and humid, the weather network keeps sending alerts for "chances of severe thunderstorms" but we don't get a drop.
-
hot hot hot, i am melting

i am melting
You sound like the wicked witch of the west.
-
he he he he
Atm grey and cooler by a long shot.
-
It's grey here too but it's bloody uncomfortable!
-
would be in the Smoke, here just started to drizzle and a lot cooler
-
Today the beeb's weather widget was saying it was 22-23 degrees when it felt no different from last week when it was in the 30s?
Something ain't right.
Rain is imminent, apparently.
-
well it has arrived ;D
-
We could use some rain. The hills are brown. I have to water everything. Water is pretty expensive.
-
We can't seem to have more than a day or two of sunshine before another day of storms rolls through. Lots of local flooding going on.
-
It is absolutely teeming down.
Quite enjoying to coolness and the moist air opening my airways.

so agree :)
-
The window and french doors I installed this week are not yet sealed. If it rains now things will get a little soggy on site.
Yep, I deliberately tempted fate.
-
you rebel you ;D ;D
no storms, rain, thunder were seen or heard in Leicester. :-[ chillies and tomatoes looking good atm
-
Good week, sunshine all week. Managed to get all my concrete work done :)
-
I'm at the Foodies Festival in Blackheath tomorrow so it's bound to rain.
I'd really like some rain.

Is that because you don't want to be at the festival? :)
-
Is that because you don't want to be at the festival? :)
No, love festival but this heat and lack of air is really oppressive.
Saying that, I have to fit 2 Velux windows in a felt roof this week and rain would really scupper the schedule.
Now it will rain, right?
-
Oooooooooooooo it did rain last night, was on a friends narrow boat dreading running for a taxi.
Was a great night out though
-
Bloody rain and storms put my scaffolders back 3 days.
I hate delays as they become exponential.
-
It's back! 4 or 5 days of off and on rain with gray skies. I start another 3 weeks of holidays this Friday, hoping for sunshine.
-
It's proper shite here - reminiscent of winter.
It took my scaffolders twice as long to complete one of my jobs and the roofers are totally awol.
-
off and on for us in the shires
-
Start of vacation time, looks good for the next 4 or 5 days.
-
a excellent downpour last night
-
a excellent downpour last night
The downpour here in London in the middle of the night was a "hail Mary mother of God" event.
-
Storm of summer last night, strong winds, severe lightning, heavy rain, lasted for hours.
-
More rain on it's way ... again! I've been waiting for a couple of dry day when I can re-ply and fiberglass a flat roof. So far the only 2 dry days we've had back to back, has been this weekend.
That's perfect for most, I suppose.
-
rain then sun then rain then sun then etc etc
-
It's bloody miserable here again. I realise I shouldn't grumble considering what Asia and America have just been through, but dismal weather does tend to depress the soul.
-
earthquake in Mexico
Hurricanes in the Caribbean
cannot grumble about single figures and a little rain here
-
It's been beautiful here for the past two weeks with extended forecasts saying it should last another couple of weeks. Sunny and mid 80's, better than it was in July.
-
London's weather is proper schizophrenic.
-
raining off and on in Leicester, funny not forecast though
-
Howling cats and dogs at the moment, not going to get out on the bike any time soon.
May as well do the ironing
-
The weather has been really quiet down here in the smoke of late. Rain, of course, but not so you'd notice.
Now I've said those magic words we'll have a monsoon this week.
-
well it certainly rained last night :-\ :-\
good to have Easter early :(
-
NECROMANCY!
Got woke up by rain coming through the window next to my bed. Not open, not cracked, it's coming through the damned frame.
Gonna rotate the bed 90 degrees in the room to avoid the feckin' splash zone, but that's not a fun way to wake.
Blanket was soaked on the outside, but it's so thick I got woke by rain on my face.
-
thats harsh, sealant required
-
poo. I rent and we already reported a window problem. A madam punched one out.
I really don't want to be the squeaky wheel. Already moved everything to new spots.
Eh, it doesn't rain much. Maybe I'll get a respite and can report it in 2019?
