Title: New apple update for ipad
Post by: mishca09 on October 02, 2013, 04:54:33 PM
Just downloaded the new update for my ipad. I don't really like the new look. Reminds me of windows a bit and a little of android.  I do like the new pin lock screen. I'm sure I just have to get used to it.

varying responses to the update.
Wife's / sons phone ipad worked a treat after update.
friend lost his wi-fi ability straight away.still cannot use it.
As a non apple user, i think it looks ok, but apple could do with an option of choosing which
theme to use.
I run android 4.1 on an old galaxy s2 advance and find nova theme excellent for altering the look.
Most phones look similar today no matter who you buy.

I told my sister this, but I'm not sure she's willing to accept it.  It's like buying a new computer, almost anything is good enough unless you have some special need.

I think a lot of these updates are to brick old devices. I'm still sore at firefox for killing off support for PPC. Not everyone can afford a shiny new macbook :(

pain in the ass the update.
took me hours to work out how to TRY and stop Virgin mail constantly reloading nearly 5000 emails every time wife deleted some  :o

deleted entire email account for her and piggy backed NTL (now Virgin) onto Gmail (luckily she had an old one).
all ok now.
