Yes.  He often posted information about legal sites like the internet archive, (archive.org) etc.  It's really amazing how many books are available online and out of copyright.

I remember reading some thread and then someone said "I use Peer Guardian". Ohhh, you could make popcorn, sit back and enjoy. It wasn't just GW. There were people making a line.  ;D

The internet archive has films, music, audio files and books (including audio books).  http://archive.org/   Here's a list of movies that might be of interest available freely there and out of copyright protection:  http://tech.blorge.com/Structure:%20/2010/08/11/top-40-best-free-legal-movies-you-can-download-right-now/

There's plenty of other resources, such as libraries, that have digitalized their journals, making them free to the public.  Children's books and journals are among them.  This is one of my favorites:  the University of Florida has a children's library online of historical children's literature.  You can flip through wonderful illustrated books at your leisure.

He didn't suffer fools gladly.  And when he was in a bad mood, he could really go off the rails.  It's too bad because he's really not a bad guy.  He liked model trains and had quite a setup if I remember correctly.

Here:  I think this is his railway:

You never know.  I mean, the database isn't that hard to come by. There may be a genuine resurrection yet.

I reposted it on the last forum but the original was Sabe's "meatball's League of Pissing".

I told them that on the last page.

No-one ever listens to me.

Peer Guardian and Peer Blocker.  I still have an IRC script to post that link when people asked about it.  Biggest P2P smokescreen ever.

I still get people calling me a know-nothing fool for believing that it does nothing more than add a false sense of security.  They get angry and offended.  I believe it is a knee-jerk reaction to their own realisation that they were taken by the myth that PB/PG2 does something.

Pisses me off no end but nothing I can do about it.  I had a brief stint on kat forums and managed to alienate a bunch on there by saying it does nothing at all besides makes it harder to connect to legit users (the number of addresses PB blocks is close to half the addresses on the 'net!)

But anyway.....

Mark, did you tell them to right click on the peers list (µTorrent)? There's an option to Copy Peers List. I don't see how they could argue that.
