Are there any Lord of the Rings Online players here?
Myself and one other person on these fora (possibly two) play Lotro.
We are on the Landroval server.
-
Still..... seems..... lol. This entire site started from a "click" of Demonoid users that at one point in time became virtual friends and wanted to remain so going over and above the trend of the site. Thats where we started...... lol

I was just answering to display the vivid history of "us" Ha! Ive played pong in 1975 but that my extent in gaming. Mishca is a gamer and several retired members as well.

Never played LOTRO (I think Bea and 8ully are the other 2 you're talking about) but I play SWTOR, although of late, Borderlands 2 has been occupying my time quite a bit.
-
Bea is one and aelthric finally has a new machine and installed the game. 8ully tried the game, I think, but didn't care for it.
-
Ah. Yeah, 8ully plays a lot of Star Trek Online. Have friends that play it but all my time is occupied already.
-
LOTRO, yessir. I enjoy to play. This is wonderful news about aelthric :)
Gotta go check this pizza... I love the game, graphically and otherwise.
Thoroughly enjoy playing with my friends, such as tarascon and Mirika, my friend from the Netherlands.

Check it out t, got her just the right angle.

Gave it a few hours, didn't care for it.
Admiral Freeby and the USS protege think your horse is cute.

I'm loving Skyrim. So much to do and such little time.
I'm currently a thief, half member of the imperial guards and the same for a Stormcloaks (I'm holding out before I commit fully), assassin, werewolf, mage and a lot of other things I can't remember. Joining these groups has no affect on your character as far as the storyline goes, so you don't have to pick a personality and stick with it.
I did have to rough some people up once while working for a protection racket, and now I find that store owners ask me to leave - but not before I've traded.
They're probably scared.
-
Ha! In oblivion I had four or five characters going at once so I could be as good or evil as I wanted!
-
I burnt myself out on Skyrim and cheated on the crafting skill (used cheat codes to get more resources) so haven't played it in a couple years.

Apparently my screenshot gave an incorrect scale, apologies. Below is a screenshot of my runabout, the USS Black, on a landing pad at DS9 (The space station behind the USS Protege.)
The USS Black is about the size of a Winnebago, and can man a crew of five. The USS Protege is an advanced escort, and has a crew of around 100.
I'd do a side by side comparison, but I'd need someone to hop in a runabout.

It is a very sexy looking ship. But not as personable as my warsteeds. :D
-
have only the original battle for middle earth and cannot get that to work on W7.
-
I don't know what W7 is. But I play LOTRO War in the North from time to time on ps3
-
W7 = Windows 7
-
Ah.
I have that problem with old pc games. I can never get them to play.
-
Kinda miss the world but it ate up a lot of my time.
I'd recommend it for anyone who's never played any MMO's; it was my first.
-
This might make a nice substitute (when it comes out) if you get tired of LOTRO...

I loved Lotro.
My main problem with Lotro was that, once you get to the highest level (at that time it was 85), there's not much to do until a new area (expansion) opened up. And it costs money... and after a while, everything to improve your character cost cash. In a year I spent about $200 and I suspect that sum is a relatively low average. I wish Lotro would stop trying to pitch DLC to old-time players. The only solution (which I did 2x) is to create a new avvy and basically start from the beginning.
