They are very good with scallion and ginger in soy sauce.  I used to go to a Cantonese restaurant on Bowery in New York.  They had the frogs in an aquarium in the window.  Very cute little critters.  When you ordered them, they'd go scoop them up with a net, put them in a bucket and walk them back to the kitchen.  That was some fresh food.

I've tried them once when I was a kid. They tricked me to eat them telling me it was chicken schnitzel. I don't remember the taste. I just remember I liked them.

No.  I don't remember the name. It was just a couple doors down from Canal on the West side of the street.  They changed owners and it went from amazing to awful so I stopped going there.  But it was in the double digits, address wise.  I think 32 Bowery.  Just did Googlemaps search and it looks like it's had a makeover and is now called Danny Ngs place.  The restaurant I went to is gone.  I used to live in the neighborhood, just north of Chinatown.  Last really good place I went regularly was on Mott, just north of Canal.
