No he escaped from the pet carrier,as we (my friend who gave us a lift) were taking him inside.
  He found a small space squeezed out and ran off.
       I've put flyers with 2 pics of him on every telegraph pole in the area.
He's also on the national online register,it's roughly a mile away,so im hopeful for a good solution to this.  :)

I know I fixed mine.  I was using an old, but really good, ethernet controller and the rj-45 connector just fell off (solder points broke).  Luckily the mobo has 2 integrated ones.

Also, I started getting the "this Windows might not be authentic" message so I reinstalled using a work Windows 7 Enterprise (allowed to by our VL agreement) and now I'm all happy.
