One thing I had last night was a Fungi Trifolati with some warm rolls (it had a very buttery sauce that could not be wasted).  Full as I may feel, it was so nice I cannot stop thinking about it.

Fungi Trifolati

This reminded me of a way I prepare mushrooms when I can get hold of big Champignons, Portobello or Porcini.
I cut the stipes, cut them small and sauté them in oil+butter with garlic and green onions. Then I fill the caps and put them in the oven. They're heaven.

It was the lemon that made it for me.  There was perhaps just a touch to much lemon juice for it to be perfect, but I can't remember ever having that combination before which was mouthwatering indeed.

Tonight we had a spicy, vegetable soup with crusty, warm bread, and a nice salad with some shop bought pine nut and potato salad, beetroot, and cold tuna pasta.

Nice bottle of Chablis too all consumed at the end of our now tidy garden.

Chinese here as I worked re-flooring our kitchen until 8.30pm.

I had plain chow mein, boiled rice and a king prawn curry.  Washed down with an ice cold lager (so cold it had ice flakes in it).

Superb.

^ I don't now which one of you I envy more. It's 19:45 I still don't know what are we going to eat. And I'm drinking beer on an empty stomach.
