One of my all time legends of the saxophone and someone I've seen many times is David Sanborn. I'm sure I don't need to tell you anything about him in regards to lung capacity and he still had one of the most successful careers a musician could have.

Post by: dweez on September 21, 2012, 05:44:24 PM: Lol, thanks aelthric, that made me smile. And David Sanborn is a phenomenal sax player. Denis Deblasio is another good one. I got to see him perform a workshop at a Jazz band competition when I was in high school. He also played jazz flute and hummed the harmony into a mic. I was blown away.

I played clarinet for 8 years and really like the sounds of woodwinds. When I started listening to jazz, alto sax became one of my favorite solo instruments. Good luck with the lessons. That sounds really satisfying.
