Title: NCIS crosses evil paranormal lawfirm in "ignition"
Post by: 8ullfrog on January 10, 2010, 06:46:04 PM
Ostensibly, ignition  is a Mcgee episode, but it turns out to be much more.

Colonel bell, who was last seen being carted off to a mexican prison is out, and being represented by  M. Allison Hart, a lawyer who has set her sights on taking down Gibbs.

She just happens to work for law firm  Wolfram, hart, and donowitz.

You may remember Wolfram & hart from angel, the multidimensional evil law firm.

While I would love to see how Gibbs and team would take on vampires, werewolves, and other assorted monsters, it would be the death of the show.

They won't. It was likely a production joke.

I mean, the way angel left things, the senior partners rode bless'ed DRAGONS around.

Considering the lawyer was named M. Hart, she would be one of the very senior partners.

Either way, Gibbs could still kill a dragon, with his cop show infinite ammo pistol.

Call me silly, but I could do without Gibbs having a "nemesis".

What NCIS does best is a criminal procedural with well developed characters who interact believably, if not always plausibly.

At one point they went a little left field when McGee became a famous author, but they realistically curtailed that plot line by having him swindled by Madoff.

Besides Wolfram and Hart being acknowledged, Donowitz was also a shout out.

I noticed it as I was watching and googled it right off.

I also went directly to google. It looks like the lawyer is just going to be a boring cop show nemesis. I HATE when they pull poo like this on police procedurals.

It would be interesting if it was the evil law firm trying to balance out the "good" that the NCIS team does. Of course it won't be that interesting.

What will likely happen is she'll get McGee busted for hacking, or mess up Ziva's immigration process after she puts the hurt on a suspect.

About the only person she can't really screw with is Dinozzo, he tends to play things by the book, even though he acts like a jerk while doing it. That being said, she might go digging into what happened under the previous director.

Here's your paranormal setting. Gibbs is drinking in his basement, working on whatever project he's working on now. Team of Werewolf hitmen come down the stairs, Gibbs cooly drills them with a package of silver ammunition, then calls his team. Wolfram and hart is making a move, and they need to go underground.

It won't happen, but that doesn't mean I'm not writing the episodes in my head.

My problem is that I can come up with great ideas, but lose steam while typing them out.

Hence, my non-nightmare dreams are AWESOME.

I have a couple like that.  One I know for a fact I typed out as soon as I woke up.  I need to find that and archive it.
