Im 99% sure it's your sever which is slow and not my comp.
I optimized it yesterday, and virtually every site i visit is up within a second or two,but here, they're taking a while to load up.
-
As we speak the site is loading lightning fast for me so it can't really be the server. Try a different browser and see if it is any better, if it is, then you know it is a local issue.
-
Works the way it allways has for me.
-
Same for me.
-
It's fine now. ???
Traffic perhaps
-
A sight I allways go to loads slow cirtain times of the day due to traffic
-
I have similar problem, page load up needs often 10-40 seconds,I close my torrent client and still same situation.
And my torrents run well,so problem can't be here.
-
If it's because of your client, you have too many half open connections.
You only really need 8
-
Do I hear only 6? lmao

We were aware of an issue with 1 or 2 of the threads. Smokes has contacted the host to see if it's something server-side. We're also currently discussing what we can do to resolve the problem if it's not a hosting issue.
Thank you for reporting.

Server has had it up to here with these damn games.
-
There are a few issues going on and I believe them all to be server related and not local to us. I have been eyeing up a new host and will more than likely switch to them very soon.
-
It turns out there was a problem with one of the mods on the server. Once we were able to successfully convince the host of this, the problem was resolved host haste. Thanks again for reporting this so we can keep Diasfora running as smoothly as we can.
ADDED:
That should be "posthaste"...no pun intended.

Thank you.

I am not going to lie and say I pay a lot for our hosting, I don't. And that ensures that we will always be free but may not perform as well as we would on a dedicated server. I think that is the right balance for our community.
The host was quite patient with me as I am rarely complimentary toward them these days, and they did, eventually, solve the posting issue. That said, I had to do 90% of the work myself but I suppose that's what you all pay me for...
