Me too. Or..something.. He just doesn't 'strike' me. But I can see why people would think he was really handsome..and sexy (*wonders if OC does..*).
But, I've never thought Jude Law was sexy either. I can accept his looks, and admire him..but he doesn't make me giddy. The sexy thing is some unique thing for each person, and hard to sometimes pin why we feel it.
Is he the guy from the "Name that couple" thread that was being all pouty?

Before I have even watched Gossip Girl, I saw a photo of him, and though "OMG sexy". He's like the only teen idol/actor whatever that I can actually say "Yep, he's hot."

He was great in Gladiator. Haven't really watched any of his other movies though :-\
You should watch more. He does subtle things, like wordless reactions to the scene. It makes movies like Signs lots better. One of his reaction shots in that movie is one of my favorite scenes.

While I agree Joaquin is a good (maybe very good) actor, NOTHING could make signs better unless the director just decided not to make it at all...horrible movie.

Hes a little guy, 5'7" so he doesnt have alot of mass. In 1978 they didnt make them any sexier than this. Hair included. But remember....Im an oldie. But a goodie none the less.

I used to be crushy on Anderson Cooper until I found out he has a thing for airhead guys half his age. Then I got uncrushy for some reason :-\ It's weird how losing respect for someone makes my crush lessen. I always assumed he'd have a steady boyfriend who was equal in career status, and age.. and they'd have engaging conversations. I never pictured him as the brainless bimbo boy toy ogling type >_<

I think I like him becasue he's smart. And, seems compassionate. It doesn't seem like he's faking empathy just for his job. But. yeah. I like smart guys. So.. lots of times I think reporters, war correspondents, national geographic photographers, field scientists.. I'd pay attention to them over most athletes. Not that athletes are dumb.. I definitely don't think that. But the focus of their passion isn't interesting to me. Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer are super funny when they report togehter at a special event.. they get all giggly.. and make dry humred jokes.. :D

And.. I don't have to respect and feel some sort of intellectual or 'cause driven' connection to every musician, artist, or actor that I think is hot.. but it sure helps. It definitely helps as to whether I think they're super hot.. or just 'meh, whatever'..'take him, or leave him'. And some guys.. I just don't get at all.. even though sooo many people think they're cute. In those cases it's just like glancing at a statue at a musem, then passing by it quickly so you can get to a piece you really want to look at, and feel a passion for.
All guys are cute. Some are super uber cuties. Few guys are sexy.

His father is Danish. He lived in Venezuela, in Argentina(till he was 11), and in Denmark other than in New York. He can do any accent or play any role because of this imo. I didn't know all this so the first time I heard him speaking like he was my neighbor I thought I was crazy. ;D

That's one of the really cool things about Viggo.. I completely forget I'm watching an actor.. and get absorbed in each character. Not many actors have that effect for me. Hardly any in fact.

Defintiely watch it. It's as close to a 'traditional' love story as he'll probably ever be in. But..it's not a sappy dopey unrealitically goopy love story. It's just a good all around story. And all the characters are good. And the clothes. and the sets.. all of it is really pretty. But it's not so deep that it's sad, or stressful. Its just enjoyable.

^ I don't even think I noticed that. Since it's supposed to be a 'made-up' town.. I hadn't really thought about it. I just considered it another town the mom was using to drift in and out of, so it could be any town, any where. That's kind of the point.. all the towns had become the same town, over and over. And.. a town wth rel nams.. would have messed up that illusion.
It's not the best movie ever. Maybe not even his best dramatic role. But I liked the 'story bookish' quality to it... and the fact that realty has a habit of finally running head long into a person'a story book life, no matter how often they run...or how hard they pretend things aren't real. Eventually it's best to confront things... and solve them.

Casper Van Dien is on TV. It's some hijacking a boat film. I don't know how attractive he is, but he seems to tick some boxes.
Well I like the fact that he feels comfortable with his form. Hes not all buffed out. Handsome guy but doesnt really do anything for me. Maybe he's a good actor...... *fingers crossed
Gaspard Ulliel - Oh the "Hannibal Rising" guy. That is an awesome picture because I dont find him that handsome in most of his others. He reminds me of Crispin Glover who just freaks me out most of the time.
DAMN!! Im being awfully negative this morning. Maybe I need to sit back with the new Rolling Stone and find some new faces to admire. :D

To me he's the 'A Very Long Engagement' guy, so he's sweet and romantic.. and a french hottie. And I never/rarely see scary movies.. so I never had a chance to associate him with anything creepy. I saw the first Silence of the Lambs movie and like it.. but the others were too intense for me.

The Hannibal Lector series you mean xtopave? My husband has read all of them and said they were obviously better than the films which is natural, but he said the films did a really good job of depicting the books.

Yes, I do. I've found "Hannibal" to be specially sick and twisted. The movie is not only shortened and Gary Oldman's character physical condition mollified but the end is completely different to make it politically correct. I could put a spoiler if someone's interested. I liked the movies but the books are much better (as it usually is).

Yep. I saw the 1968 version of R&J because we're studying the play in school. I'm not really a fan of The Baz and I've seen that version before anyway. I liked Zefirelli's adaptation a lot more. It also helped that men in Zefirelli's R&J > men in Luhrmann's R+J. All the other girls in my year were like "ZOMG! ZEFRON!" because Leonard Whiting looked exactly like Zac Efron in it. But I thought Michael York was the sexiest. He had that intensity and a piercing stare with pretty eyes ;D and so manly. But, I'd hang out with him... and I can see how some women would think he was sexy. Where I used to not be able to stand him.

New Moon trailer screenshots Im getting ready to email to someone. so I thought I'd post them here.
I still think Robert Pattinson would be better in certain other movies.. and I still don't see him as Edward.. but, he actually seems like he suits Edward better in the new movie... so I can live with it. And, I'm not a die hard Twilight fan anyway. I read the books before they got big.. so, it is interesteing to watch the whole thing play out.
And it's definitely interesting to watch people watch the New Moon trailers :D There's so much skin time.. especially for Jacob :) Actually, lots of skin for all the wolves. The squeeing should be deafening opening night.

It really is a trash show but in that "bad car crash" category, you just cant look away. I wouldnt say that they profile the men any more than they do the women in the show. They are an equal sex exposer. And Eastwick is not the vunerable type to anyone but Blair because she has beat him at his own game so many times. Thats what makes them do-able together I think.

I took this screencap from smallville's season premier the other day so I could post it here. Tom's looking pretty huge this season. Now that's an amazing bod. He looks way buffer than the first couple of seasons. And even though he's gained weight, I think it's because he's well proportioned and built anyway, that the extra body fat just pads his already existing muscle rather than replacing it making him look stronger. :P

He's already pretty well known in the US. ..for his singing, and being hunky, and for another movie. I just had really thought much about him before I'd heard about this movie. But.. I also had assumed this movie might be worth seeing :P

I already have gone through a spaghetti western Sergio Leone-esque phase :P ;D Saw the whole Man With No Name trilogy :) and I really liked some of the more recent westerns like the remake of 3:10 to Yuma and The Assassination of Jesse James. PS Clint Eastwood was hot :D
^I watched part of the first episode. Then I got busy and didn't get back to it. The pacing is different from an American cop tv show. It's not like a situation comedy, but.. it is more funny/goofy rather then overly serious. And Nodate's voice really steps him up a notch. He has kind of a baby almost nerdy face, but the nice deep voice of a samuraii :D I haven't seen enough of the rest of it yet to judge anyone else.

Deep voice of a samurai, LOL. I just saw The Last Samurai on tv, and one of the samurai was had this intriguing intensity to him. I googled him and came up with Hiroyuki Sanada, wondered why that name and face looked so familiar and realised you posted him before :D

It's got a samuraii feel to it(it pretty much is) the story is engaging and there's sexual themes throughout(some hidden I think), but it's a pretty deep anime with a huge emphasis on Japanese folklore. A big thing for me was the chosen seyui(voice actors) picked for the main characters. I'm a fan so watching an anime with a similar theme to past works yet so diverse and reversed as opposed to usual roles made it all the more exciting. It's only 6 episodes but you feel as if it's a well waited for movie.

for one my ex kept telling me that it was out of fashion and how everbody he knows would get rid of their body hair. (I haven't really talked about it with many other people and we broke up only recently) second most pictures don't portray armpit hair as far as I remember

That's interesting. When I used to watch To Kill A Mockingbird in my younger years, I used to think Jem was cute. And funny that in the film his name is Jeremy and his nickname is Jem, which is Renner's nickname in The Town.

I dont think Ive ever seen a guy with shaved pits. Except for swimmers and the likes.........
My best friend says all men should shave their armpits. Actually, she'd like a man without ANY body hair at all :-[ I find it kinda gross when a guy is hairless :(

I like it when they have as little body hair as possible. Chest hair and leg hair are not my things.
And there's this dude I think is hot except he's not 18 yet...so won't post.

Want to catch a lady's eye? Don't smile, study says

A note to single dudes: If you're looking to pick up a woman at a bar, whatever you do -- don't smile at her.
Women are actually less sexually attracted to smiley, happy men, suggests a new University of British Columbia study, published online today in the journal Emotion. If that's surprising to you -- it was surprising to lead researcher Jessica Tracy, too. "I wouldn?t have believed it if we didn?t go out and replicate it three times," says Tracy, an assistant psychology professor at UBC.
Researchers asked more than 1,000 volunteers to rate the sexual attractiveness of hundreds of images of the opposite sex. (All were heterosexual, ages 17 to 49 years, with a median age of 21. Fifty-two percent of participants were Asian, and 48 percent were Caucasian.) In the images, the men and women pictured were demonstrating one of three emotions: happiness, pride or shame -- plus a "neutral" image thrown in there, too. They found that women ranked the smiling guys as less attractive -- but they were into the prideful and ashamed men. But the male participants were most attracted to the smiling women, and least attracted to the ones who seemed proud.
More research is needed to determine why this might be, but Tracy has a few hunches. Past research has shown that smiling increases perception of femininity, so that might be one reason smiles worked on women, but not on men. Also, "smiling indicates availability, or interest. For men, that's a really important thing to know about a woman, so it makes sense that men would find smiling really attractive," Tracy says. "For women, that's not as important. There's the general assumption that men are more generally receptive."
But the fact that women find shame more attractive may also help explain the attractiveness of the "bad boy" -- the one who seems like he can be turned around. "The bad boy who feels shame, women have always found that attractive -- that?s the James Dean look. He?s the bad boy, but he wants to change," Tracy says.
One thing to keep in mind: The study measured just sexual attractiveness, not whether women are interested in carrying on a relationship with a sullen, unsmiling dude. But Tracy adds, "If a (man's) sole aim is to be as sexually attractive as possible, smiling may not be his best bet."

Kevin Sorbo, I don't like him. Andromeda wasn't that great a TV series, the first two series were average at best. But then he took over and almost instantly season 3 onwards was balls! So we put him here, for ruining something I didn't think could get any worse.

I am SO ashamed that I let this guy get by me for so many years. I was actually watching Buzzcocks and one of the songs they were doing for the intros round sounded really good to me. I tracked it down and HOLY poo!! I had heard of Stereophonics for years but Im not really into mellow so I listened, sung along, thats over. A whole new world has now opened up for me.
