Title: Flash block plus.
Post by: 8ullfrog on January 21, 2014, 02:43:19 PM
I was having problems with flash video, and I wasn't entirely sure what was causing it. I checked my hard drive for weird codecs, and removed ffdshow. The problem persisted, so I nuked all of the plugins in Firefox. I also uninstalled adobe air, because I have no idea what it is for.

When I reinstalled flash, I noticed that in the plugin behaviors, you can set it to ask every time it wants to launch flash content. Goodbye auto playing videos!

This also speeds webpage loading, and removes annoying flash ads. I imagine this would also work on sites that lock you out for using adblock plus.

Plug-in blocking is so good for old computers!
