Title: To Google or Not to Google

I think there was a video someone posted here with Portuguese subtitles.
In the subtitles was the verb "googlar" meaning "to google".  I assume it's the same in Spanish.

Since the verb form of Google has come into common usage, I'm curious
what other languages have a verb form of "to google" and what they are.

Yo googl? la informaci?n pero descubr? nada  ;D

Very good indeed. Yes, we use the verb googlear in Spanish.

If you don't mind I'll correct a small mistake: "Yo googl? la informaci?n pero no descubr? nada". You can even forget about the word "Yo". As in other Latin languages it's not mandatory.  :)

Thanks.  You would think after 3 years of Spanish in school, I wouldn't suck at it so badly  :D

How is googlear conjugated?  Is the e left on like googleo, googleas, googlea?

No, you don't suck! It was just one mistake.

It's a new verb so I don't know for sure (I'm not even sure if the Real Academia Espa?ola already accepted it) but I've seen it conjugated just as you did.

Well I will tell you those that I use. En Espa?ol.

Googlear (infinitive)

Yo googlie (I googled)

Googleaste la informacion? (did you Google the info?)

But mainly I just say "Buscalo en Google/Search it on Google."

The past tense I've seen conjugated in 3 different ways:

Yo googl?.
Yo google?.
Yo googli?.

I wonder why those bums at the Real Academia Espa?ola haven't consulted us yet, santafer.  ;D ;D

Anyways, there is Spain's Spanish (Castellano) and the Latin Spanish(which varies from place to place), SO, meh.

I feel like I got ripped off since we're trying to figure out what Google is in other languages besides English.  :-\

I don't feel ripped off.  Now I know Norwegians use the same verb form as English speakers.  Thanks AJ  :)

Do you use a past tense of google?  Something like "I googled that yesterday".

Looks like that Google is universal word.

Look at from Google = Katso Googlesta.

Google knows = Google tiet?
