Post by: smokester on November 16, 2012, 03:07:12 PM: I can't remember ever having seeing them here in the U.K even though they are sort of a household name. I did see, and have eaten them in the Caribbean as most of the sweet stuff there is shipped down from the U.S.

What is really sad is a long serving company forced into liquidation.

Someone will probably scoop up the recipe for Twinkies, wonder-bread too. But they won't be hostess, and they'll probably golly with the recipe for marketing purposes.

Apparently the Canadians will not see any disruption, but those weirdos can't even get bacon or milk right. Their Twinkies probably contain moose.

This is the real tragedy.

There are enough sweet things on the market to feed the world and his brother. One less shouldn't make any real difference.
