I have always had a massive dislike for spiders and i had a friend who told me that they aren't so bad. He had one in his place for ages and so i thought i would try that too. But it was in the garage... (there is a connecting door to the house ) so this was quite a challenge because this spider was big, huge, wore boots and watched me like a hawk. I have a picture , somewhere but as yet i haven't worked out how to load here on Diasfora. and need to find it. But i had the spider as a distant friend for about a good year. Not sure what happened to him or when he exactly went, but i still dislike them !!!!!!!! have a look at this below. I have an interactive screen at work and it takes a lot of courage for me to use my finger for the job.... :)

I'm not a big fan of spiders, but I'm not afraid. I do get a bit jumpy if something all of a sudden crawls across my foot though.

As for spiders and all insects, I suppose they all have there lives to live and they are ok nearby or far away, preferably far away though if they are big and hairy.

Thye are related to mantises.
They look like sticks with legs,,harmless as the day is long too.

My sister call me (the biggest chicken when it comes to spiders) at midnight to drive across town to look under a bar stool in her kitchen and see if the spider under it was dead. It was a tarantula, very much like teech's pet. It was dead. Not smashed but dead. I scooped it into an envelope, took it home and put it in my freezer. It freaked me out when I felt how heavy it was. It was like picking up a dead mouse. A friend of my son's, dad worked at a lab that studies local spiders and bugs and I had him come get it to see if it was a native of the area. Found out the furry lil things are native to my area. You would know if one of them big suckers got in my house, by the large bullet hole in my floor .

I used to have a Rose Hair and a Pink Toe. They were awsome.
I found a Metalic Pink Toe for only 40 bucks at the local pet shop.
Now,,rats scare me,,I shot one with one of my .45s the other night.
Had rat smeared all across the kitchen.

That is an amazing film footage. I find all wild survival film extremely informative. Cant beat it.

I wish I could find footage of the fight between a terantula and a rattlesnake.
The spider won.

Spiders kill other bugs that I despise more than spiders, so spiders rock! :)
