I recently stumbled across GORE: Ultimate Soldier...
Not the greatest FPS on-line game.
But it's free, and kinda fun...
My score: 7 / 10
Just D/L AssaultCube...
Will get back to you with a verdict...
Both game's are, of course, free to D/L, and there are link's in Wiki to the D/L section... :)
Anyone else have any recommendations..?

This is a great game!
It's much harder than GORE: U.S., in this a few rounds will put you down.
(but then again, the same holds true for your enemies, so just keep a steady aim, and you come out on top...)
The variety of the games are all the standard ones...
-Capture the flag
-Keep the flag
-Deathmatch
-Team deathmatch
-One shot, one kill...
The number of players is high. (40+ on a slow day, 100+ on the busy days...)
The number of core Levels (Maps) aren't high, but there is a map generator somewhere (Don't ask me),
and this allows both for variety in the standard maps, as well for highly creative fan-made maps...
I wanted for a little while deduct points for the low number of weapons you can choose from (an Assault rifle,
a Sub-machine gun, a Sniper rifle, and a shotgun, plus the standard 9mm gun and knife), but I soon enough realized:
What more do you need..?
Those cover the weapon types you'd ever want anyways, so what's the problem..? :D
Those guns work very well, so if it's not working to success: The problem is you... ;)
This is a GREAT on-line game, it's FREE, and my verdict is clear: 9.5 / 10

Flash games are well and nice, but I thought about free games you can download,
and then play on-line when I started this thread...
Or even just games you can download and play off-line...
