Title: did anyone watch Dexter tonight?

LIKE O M G ! I couldn't believe how it ended and now I'm not so sure where dexter will end up?
i am really tempted to txt my brother and tell him the ending sense he's watching season three of dexter and hasn't gotten to season four yet. I might just wait til he annoys me and then tell him.

When did the fourth season started? I've seen the other three and I really like the show. I rarely skip a spoiler but this time I did.
I have the sudden urge to do certain things ever since I started watching Dexter. :P But again, when I watch Breaking Bad, I feel like making crystal meth in my basement. :D

When the victim awakens, you talk to s/he about the crimes s/he has committed with photographs of the supposed murder victim's.
Either with a knife to the heart or some creative means, such as how this murderer offed their victims, kill the supposed murderer with either methods. Make it quick and easy thou.
Take a small surgical saw to the limbs of the supposed murderer, cut the body into small bits and wrap each bit up in a plastic bag. Then dumb those bags containing the supposed murderer.
Dexter, dumped those bags in the sea.

Only from watching the first season, I think it is like a suspenseful combination of Saw and Death Note. And the only good Saw movie is the first one. The second was OK, but ever since then it has been going downhill.

I just finished season 4. I must say that John Lithgow's performance was astonishingly good. I knew him only from 3rd Rock From The Sun and I had my doubts if he could pull it off. But he was amazing! He definitely deserves to win the Golden Globe.

I'm not going to read the previous posts here, in case there are spoilers, but I really did enjoy the first season of Dexter. Once I get my hands on the second and third and (one-day) the fourth, I'll post my opinions (because that's what we've all been waiting for ;D)

Man, John Lithgow is a great actor. If all you know him from is 3rd Rock, you need to watch some of his other stuff.
Check out The World According to Garp, not only is it one of Robin Williams' best dramatic turns, but John Lithgow was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor.
Trust me, once you see him in Garp, you'll realize the guy is extremely versatile... :D
And, yes, he was particularly good on Dexter...

Okay then, here's my contribution to the Lithgow Love Fest. The first thing I recall seeing him in was Twilight Zone: The Movie (where he played the Shatner role from the series), actually come to think of it, I'm not sure I've bought that on DVD yet (can't believe I've let that slip through the net), I also think he's an excellent actor, but I've not seen him in Dexter yet (I've only seen the first two seasons), so I'll have to "acquire" seasons 3 + 4 - probably tonight and have a shufty (definitely definition 2 not 3 from the urban dictionary). :o :D

Yeah I do this little thing called "paying attention" when I watch movies. :D
And if I really like something I can retain all sorts of minutiae about it. An ability I wish I had more control over so I could apply it to things that are more important...
A movie quot game is so susceptible to google that they never work.
And the only way I could think of to make a movie quotes game work is to do something like:
Q: "In Aliens, what did Hudson say to Ripley when she tells him that Newt had survived for longer than 17 days without training or weapons?"
A: "Why don't you put her in charge?"
But that might be a lot of work... :D

ouh i loved loved this season of dexter and i was very shocked by the end too!
a friend of mine mused if it was but a dream sequence but i don't think so!
i've decided to watch season 4 again, because after a couple of episode i just wanted to know what's happening next and didn't spend much time on details..

i just saw the trailer for season 5 of dexter and it kind of made me less excited for the new season to start. Sometimes this happens when im waiting for a new season of a show and then trailer comes out im kind of like :-\ . But I'll probably watch it anyways i really cant wait for weeds to start.

Last episode was good thought it was not what I expected. It was very emotional which I guess means that Dexter himself will change somehow. I don't know. The episode did not give much information, the plot did not develop, there was no shocking ending. Yet, I liked it. Can't wait for more ;D

I'm really looking forward to the next season of Dexter. Although I can't say I liked the last one as much as I liked all the previous ones. I can't start comparing John Lithgow's character with Colin Hanks's. Well, Colin Hank is a lightweight compared with John Lithgow after all.
I've read we'll have at least 2 more seasons.

I thought the same thing! That would have been good in a previous season when he was having booze (and drugs?) problems. But he seems better adjusted this season. Anyway he's still hot. ;D

I really like this bad guy. He's refined, ruthless and intelligent, less of a psycho and more driven by revenge. Different than others in the show. Don't get me wrong I like psycho characters. Those played by Christian Camargo and John Lithgow were among my favorites. I didn't like much Colin Hanks's character. How about yours?

I have to agree with XT, I do like him as well and he is different. I thought Colin's character was alright if not a little weak but I think it was hard to top John Lithgow( he was great).
I wonder what the sister will do now that laguerta is investigating the blood slides, eventually laguerta will find something. also I think angel is leaving the show, he seemed really upset when deb shut him down.

Like you, I didn't really care about it this season, so I don't feel strongly about the way they ended it. It was a bit weird, but it suits the overall feel of the season and Dexter's a weirdo anyway. In meh opinion.
