Title: Room 101
Post by: AlienBC on May 22, 2010, 03:08:56 PM
OK quite simple you?re banishing whatever whomever to Room 101 never to be heard or seen again.  What or who would you banish & why.

I?ll kick it off with the word SORRY

Sorry I think it?s a meaningless word and hate it when strangers say  sorry. 99% of the time they don?t mean it. I?ve seen too many people use that word, then carry on doing the same Shiite! Thinking they can use the word as some sort of get out of jail free Card!

SORRY
Manchester United
stellar
Nicolas
Cage
hooligans
Barra Brava
Palindrome
Joe Pasquale
John Barrowman
Ginormous
Inner Child
Mimes
Collective Unconscious
Kim Jong
Low-alcohol alcohol.

I'd banish Manchester United.

And the name too.

stellar

People use it in an awkwardly cool way, so.. it makes them sound like they're trying too hard.

I'd banish two words "Nicolas" and "Cage" so I'd never see them together on a cast list again.

Oh, no Alien. The man was great in Leaving Las Vegas but he manages to get worse and worse in every film he is in these days. Watch just a few minutes of Bangkok Dangerous and you'll see how wise red's words are.  ;D

I'd ban the word Hooligan (or more accurately Barra Brava in my country).
Wait... I'd ban hooligans period.  >:(   So I don't think that fits this thread.

It's just room101 now so anything you dislike intensely enough to banish  :D

There's another word I'd like to put in there - palindrome, because it isn't one.

Since you've opened it up to more than just words I'd also like to rid the world of Joe Pasquale... and John Barrowman.

Joe Pasquale and John Barrowman with the greatest of pleasure  :D

How about Collective Unconscious.  ::)

How about Collective Unconscious.  ::)

Arrrrg! I actually believe in that it does work. But until we fully understand it maybe 101 is a good idea as it can be destructive as well as good for mankind.

edit
oOpS your taking about Collective Unconscious me talking about Collective conscious   as most people walk around thinking non-negative thoughts that would be very very bad for mankind

Thank you for pointing that out .

I find that a but insulting.

Not my intention to insult you its was alien humour. You know if i had to count on my digits how many Americans i have met over the years that don't like Americans i would run out of body parts. Not to mention the endless times i met Americans in Europe pretending to be Canadian. ???

I find that a but insulting.

I have no idea why, as it sounded remarkably like your normal rhetoric (and perhaps mine to a degree..).

Whatever,,I left another forum for being treated like poo for being an American,, I can leave this one.
Its like me telling you in the UK the only thing wrong with the entire country of England is that your all English.

Nice knowing you all,,

And the fact that you bash the US more than any non-american on this board.

But I think it would take more than sarcasim to make you leave wouldnt it?
Title: Re: Room 101

God the English have been called Bas tards for centuries and still called it. ( I can't think of a reason why) ??? oh well maybe the odd million or so reasons.

Anyhow for the record ROBIN Not only have I spent about a 1/3 of my life in North America I do luv the place. Since you're very sensitive  to the matter I will try to keep my HUMOUR restrained when conversing with you. As i never had any intentions of insulting you in anyway. In fact at first i thought your replay post was an attempt at pulling my leg. ;)

Now can we get back on topic........

I can't keep my equipment dust free for 24 hours no matter what kinds of anti-static polish I use.

Does the world actually need dust?  It's not as if it's some kind of land dwellers plankton is it.

I'd banish two words "Nicolas" and "Cage" so I'd never see them together on a cast list again.

Hehehe. Sweet.
And speaking of Mr. Cage, I'd banish all manner of somnambulists on the general theory that they're a menace to society at large and myself in particular.
