Title: how do i alter a pdf document

as the title states, i need a program to alter some pdf files for a college assignment.
any one ???

Well, the obvious is Adobe Acrobat. I believe it's part of the Adobe CS5 Master Suite.
I haven't really looked into it much because I typically don't need to edit a pdf, merely create one from a document I have. I'll usually use Foxit or CutePDF for those.

had a sudden flash back for a moment there. :o Only once i seem to recollect though :D
ever tried to produce a disability procedure handbook in a couple of days. ??? its only for a role play at college, so nothing permanent , nothing illegal and the original is union property as well. The teacher / tutor ( I wont say professor :-X ) allows this sort of action as he says
" use all the resource's available to you"
I only wanted to place the imaginary Union name on the pages NUMPTE (National Union of Manufacturing ,Public and Trade Employees ) who is negotiating with Allen Keys and Sons . ;D ;D ;D ;D its all learning and learning is good.
