Title: Internet Deals!
Post by: dweez on December 28, 2011, 06:26:43 PM
Just realized we don't have a thread like this and we don't have a really good sub-forum for it to go into so I just put it here.  I could have made it's own sub-forum but I don't really see the need.  Anyway, here's something I found on www.techbargains.com.  It's for the Harry Potter movies (so not everyone's cuppa) but for 8 Blu-Ray movies, it's a freakin' steal.

I'm in the US and I ordered it and was only charged 3.08 GBP for shipping.  I'll update this later to let everyone know if it goes threw or not.  These are "Region Free" so should play fine on any Blu-Ray player.

Order has been "dispatched" via Royal Mail according to a notification e-mail I received.  YAY!

"dispatched" via Royal Mail

Oh dear..

Nah, only kidding.  Damn good find Dweezy.

I have bought a couple of things from Ebay U.S but the postage has always been a tad painful. I had considered asking you to see what the postage would be normally to see if it could be done any cheaper. Discover actually helped me out once with an order from Germany and that proved very cost effective.

Yeah, I was going through the order steps waiting to see what the postage would be.  I figured it'd come down to a price match once the shipping was added.  I was pleasantly surprised.

It always amazes me how I get free postage on the items I buy from China? Maybe it's because the time it takes for things to arrive, someone probably walked it here.

I don't know if anyone here could be interested but today is the last day of sales & clearance in Victoria's Secrets swimsuits. There's free shipping (in the US of course  :( ::)) on purchases of 100 U$S or more. My sister and I bought swimsuits, underwear and even other clothing.
We did a lot of damage to the credit card.  :o ;D

20% off the clearance prices which are 25-70% off the normal online prices which in turn are aprox. 1/4 the prices in a mall store. I think it's a pretty sweet deal. If you are in the US that is. I imaging the shipping abroad would cost a small fortune. I'll be there in February so I didn't care.  :)

if your going to see Harry Potter in universal , try and but the tickets off a Virgin holiday rep.
you get in before the  park officially opens and get a free breakfast in the pub / the rides open for you as well.

It's good to know that goldshirt but I don't think I'll have a lot to say in the matter. The group is 250 boys and girls + about 30 adults.  Anyway the people that organizes the trip do this twice a year for a lot of years now so I want to believe I'm safe.  :)

Yeah, I had a non-official copy for a while too but I just feel like I'm on borrowed time when using pirated anti-viral/malware apps.
