Well, the South Koreans certainly know how to "over produce" their pop, they must have taken tips from the Spice Girls.

I enjoyed all the songs for what they were worth, and I think I might be signing up to the PSY fan club some time soon.

Psy is like Korean Bollywood.
That Shinee song was choreographed by the guy who last worked with Michael Jackson.  There are so many influences melded in those videos, it staggers the mind.

Ditto although thanks to Six, my kids were talking about it well before anyone else and they get a little kudos for that.

He, he, same here.  ;D
The other day my daughter and I danced the whole Gangnam Style song at a party. Of course it was at the end of the party when I had enough to drink I didn't care I probably made a fool of myself.

I'm disappointed with that hat and a black suit.  I accept you were drunk though.

Here's something amazing.  A girl group (SNSD/Girls Generation) does a perfectly respectable song, "Animal."  A fan hears it and thinks, "wow, cool song.  Wonder what it would sound like if sung by men?"  So they electronically alter the original pitch and now the voices sound male.

Pretty weird.  But it works.  There are a number of these alterations on the SNSD list on youtube.

Here's the original, followed by the altered version.

Altering the formant is also useful for doing you own backing vocals.  That assuming one can sing in the first place.

Rules me out.

I'm not a fan of this next song's style, but the Koreans are certainly better at this than we are.  Give a listen:
