Quote
Candy corn is made primarily from sugar, corn syrup, wax, artificial coloring and binders.[2] A serving of Brach's Candy Corn is nineteen pieces, is 140 calories and has zero grams of fat.[1] Candy corn pieces are traditionally cast in three colors: a broad yellow end, a tapered orange center, and a pointed white tip
.

candy corn to me taste a little buttery and sugary.

I can buy both of those at the convenience store opposite my house, but for my birthday last month I was bought 2 bars of this:

If you like real chocolate, the "High Cocoa" is fantastic.

I haven't. But I'll be alert when in a duty-free shop.

I'd start with "The Walnut Bar", thank you very much.

Butter and caramel is being a bit charitable.

They taste like wax and sugar. And you get sick if you eat them.

They didn't even bother using the chocolate cookie, which might have balanced the monstrosity.

the probably didnt use a chocolate cookie because it would have looked even less appealing on the bag and advertisements.

Candy corn sucks.  It's the kind of thing you have to be a kid who'd eat anything to enjoy.  It's god's own mystery why they were invented and continue to be made.

Concurred.  I have hated candy corn since I remember.
Ferrero Rocher and Lindor candies?  Oh, I know all about those :  )
I like these turtles, myself.

I used to like candy corn as a kid.  I'd bite off each individual color...yeah, I was a weird kid...who never really grew out of the weirdness

Sounds very weird to me too, bubu.

I was in a train in Europe once and a guy from Northern Africa offered me anchovies with chocolate syrup. I politely declined.

Those look FANTASTIC!

Call me weird too then.  :)

Now wait a minute: you don't like chocolate+anchovies or you don't like chocolate at all?

I just don't like chocolate. The only candy I really like is gummis.

I did the same thing, very methodically.  But it still had the consistency of sweetened wax.  Yuck.  No wonder I saw the dentist so often.

All this talk of anchovies is making me nauseous...move over oc1!

I've had anchovies and peanut butter together and it's not bad.  Peanut butter overwhelms the flavor of the fish.  It's a flavor combination not uncommon in Thai food.  Ever had satay?  It's like that.  Hardly an occasion for nausea.

Peanut sauces are used often to sweeten savory salty meats like chicken or fish.
