Title: Garden Veggies.
Post by: mishca09 on September 26, 2014, 09:51:07 PM
We started our garden late this year and because of this most of the tomatoes aren't fully grown yet.

We have little baby green tomatoes which were suppose to grow into beefsteak tomatoes.

I was thinking I could slow roast them. Would that make them edible ?

I think frying them is always a winner.  Such an intense flavour.

Anywho, I found this:

Thanks. I've only had fried green tomatos once and I wasn't  crazy about it. But I'll give it another try

You can make chutney out of them.  I usually eat them ripe.

We have a lot of tomatoes this year and they're pretty sweet.  The drought seems to have concentrated the flavors.  I've been making pasta sauce with them, eating them on sandwiches and in salads.  I love tomatoes.
