And now for something completely different.
After all the debacle of online image hosting and the disappearance of most of the images that our site linked to, I decided to offer you all free hosting for any images you'd like to share on the site or anywhere for that matter.
Now that the site is on our own VPS I have quite a few giggly-bites going spare and the boy said I can attach a network drive he'd give me of many terry-bites if I needed. That means in laymen terms that it's unlikely it would stretch our site storage to any great degree and we have a failsafe if it did. We also get unlimited bandwidth so there is no "bill" for the images being loaded/rendered.
The link to the our image site I'll add below and if you'd like an account I'll just manually set you one up with your username and PM you the password so you can change all your details to suit - but it is self hosted you only needed to change your password and profile stuff (there isn't that much) for it to work just fine. You can ignore the name and address stuff.
There is no particular need for anyone to use it if they don't wish to, but I will be putting things like six's avatar over there so sigs and avatars might be a good idea to reside there.

I often can't be bothered to add images to a post as it's a cumbersome process with some of the free image hosts online.
When or if you need to use it, just post here and I'll set you up an account. I have tried some stuff in the admin area and images load super quick.

I added an image to the ugly mug thread using our image host and it was super quick and easy. The one thing it doesn't have is a image size editor built in so I have updated the resizing mod here so that things like huge monitors (cough) will fit on screen.

Don't forget your admin is top, right corner. It's easy to miss.

So I uploaded a test image and feel stupid because I haven't a clue how to post it, now that it's been uploaded. I assume one clicks the photo image in the list of tools above this frame and inserts code into it, most likely the info in the url, but that doesn't seem to work. So I'm stymied.

Just copy the address of the image into the [IMG] tags. Like this:

I did it again just now, and all I see is blank space. I'm going to leave the code embedded in this post so you can look at the source and see if there's something wrong with it. Thanks.
p.s. Those flowers are growing in my front yard.

You're linking to the image in the gallery/album rather than the actual image itself.
This bit: index.php?album=6pairsofshoes&image= is causing the problem.
If you click on the image so it shows outside your account panel (your admin link should disappear), then copy the address and it should look like this:
https://imghost.diasfora.co.uk/albums/6pairsofshoes/IMG_2725.jpeg
Paste that in the img tags.
You'll then have to click "back" where the image is in your browser to get back to your panel. Or just reload it.

If you keep all your images in the "6pairsofshoes" album and don't create a new one, all you ever need do is use that address and just change the image name at the end. If you create a new album, the part before the image would need to be changed too. Like this: ....imghost.diasfora.co.uk/albums/new_album/new_image.jpeg

So, the boy and myself have managed to create a little custom feature to help members to upload their images here.
We managed between us to get an BBCode link to the image to appear in a box that can then be copied and pasted here without have to use the img tag, and then the boy got clever and scripted a button that will automatically copy the link.
Should be very east now.
