Gardens
« on: February 12, 2009, 10:22:07 AM »
Well we have finally decided to go ahead with the Garden idea and Indie and myself have got things started.

The way these will work is the people who request one will get their own board that they have to moderate.  You will see in your own Garden that all the posts will be editable and removable and other moderation tools are available to you in your own section. It will be up to the Gardener to delete posts they feel are off topic or split and create their own alternate threads for comments rather than resign them to chaos as we sometimes have to.

If anyone is unsure how things work when they get their own board, we do have a testing facility that can be used for a member to get used to the different options that have become available to them in their area. There really isn't anything too difficult but be warned that if you move a topic outside your area, it will no longer be editable to you.

Either ask for a Garden in this thread or PM one of the staff directly.
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

Your moderation tools are only active within the board that is assigned to you, and that is your own board anyhow.  The general idea of these gardens is to be able to display something about yourself that you think may be of interest, and your career and knowledge of wrestling would undoubtedly he of huge interest to people, if they think anything like I do.  They don't have to be about something you do, they could be used simply as a blog, but the point of them is that it would your area that couldn't be lost in the forum like a thread of yours could.

Anyone is welcome to have one BTW.

Do you grow Chillis?  I thought ZTX did but I can't remember who grew them in this country that had said that they do, in the thread on demonoid.  I really want to get some Habaneros going this year but have no idea where to start.

have grown the scotch bonnet for years.
last year i cheated and bought ready started plants. ended up supplying people at work ,i had so many.
i assume you have seeds.
sow in small pots as per plant / flower seeds. a couple to a pot. ( remove the weakest of the two when sprouted)

can be a little temperamental to start though. if you can find a specialist you could buy ready started.
hot weather is required  :( in the UK we can hope.

if you like hot chill is try these  http://www.dorsetnaga.com/
if they have any left to buy . ;) go like hot cakes.
i may have to request a thread after all   :D :D

If any of you are serious about a board, give it some thought and PM one of us.

@Jack, you are a mod you know?  You can set boards up in your admin panel.  If you want me to do it then I will if you really want one.
