BB Tags with the Quick Reply

Is there anyway to get the BB Tags (like img, quotes, etc) in the Quick Reply box?  The Demon Den is using the same version of SMF and they have the option.  It's just more convenient for me then having to type out the tags myself (and risk a typo).  Lame I know but...just a suggestion.

The modification is not installing in version 1.1.8 for some reason and the code will have to be manually altered.  I am not in a postition to do it now as little folk are too near the keyboard for it to be safe to edit system files.  I'll try and get it working tonight.

Thanks S, that would make it sooooo much easier on my poor little brain.

@dweez, glad you  mentioned it. I thought about the way it is at the Den, but didn't think to ask.

I have got working ok on our test site (you can go and check dweez) but I am going to bash it around a bit to see if I get any errors before I edit our pages here.

If you have it set to "show on by default" and quote something, it enters it in the quick reply which I don't like.  I have it set to "show off by default" so I still have the choice.

Not a big deal and nothing urgent for you smokester but it doesn't look like all the buttons made the move to the Quick Reply window.  The one I've noticed is the spoiler tag (which was a custom one anyway).

Yes and the YouTube as mentioned.  These will have to be entered by hand and I wish I had realised when I did it in the first place.  I will get around to it soon and thanks for pointing it out.
