I sort of like Fringe and watch it with the missus (that makes 3 things now with Supernatural and The Apprentice). Fringe is good fun I suppose but the writing is quite infantile IMO. Like when someone has got to get somewhere quickly you'd think they'd use a chopper, but no, they'll drive in a beat up old car and somehow arrive there quicker?  Another thing is the lack of money spent on special effects, CGI should not be expensive to add but it would mean more complicated filming which they just don't opt for - that seems to be a contant attitude in these types of show, and it is a great shame.

I think it is a cross between the X-Files, Eureka and a soupcon of Heroes.

i liked fringe until the middle of the season but from there i felt the stories got weirder and weirder and i hated the last episode and deleted all my fringe files. the monster episode was much too much and they also tend to solve their crimes within 24 h ..
i've never felt the desire to watch lost, but after recently learning that it's the same guy (star treck too) i'm even more put off.
i liked the professor in fringe and some of the things he said were hilarious .. could never stand peter's permanent frown, it mades me nervous. in german those kind of wrinkles are associated with anger - zornfalten (- angry wrinkles) they are called.

right now i'm in the middle of deadwood and i think it's great, even though at times the acting seems kinda stiff.
