A film that you WISH was worth watching but is SO not.
« on: June 25, 2009, 11:50:31 PM »
If I ever find a job I will donate a portion of my income to the remaking of Terminator 4. Geesh....what crap!! And yet SO much potential. I would imagine that the script was decent but the film interuptation was poo!! I am so sad.  Hopefully, some of you will feel different but I would think it very doubtful.

And here is the pending question: Why in the hell was Christian Bale cast in this role? WHY!!! Im asking you? I just need a reasonable answer.  :'(

I don't see why are you so surprised!
I have always said that any Terminator after the second one is doomed to be bad....

Well I dont agree with that either but it had SO much potential.....it just kills me that someone with alittle background knowledge of the story couldnt of directed it.

Amen.  ;)

You only really need to watch the first 2.

James Cameron did an excellent job of ending the story in T2, which is why the sequels following it are completely ridiculous.

I despised T3 (oh, look, it has tits this time!) so I won't go anywhere near T4.

Very nice to see you Red, it's about bloody time. :)
Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after.

There is an exception to every rule, apart from this one.

Good to see you over here Red.  :)

I like a good zombie flick.

But Platoon of the Dead isn't one.

Land of the Lost.

The special effects were good, but that was all. I had a half-hearted laugh at one scene. Very disappointed.

Am I the only one that likes Cage's movies  :'(
It is Bangkok Dangerous and I thought it was fun... not good fun but just fun....

As for the remake, it is The day the Earth stood still. I refuse watching it. Watch the original. It is very good for its time. The special effects obviously suck, but it is a great movie. Along with Forbidden Planet, is my favorite 50s sci-fi flick.

Face-Off
It was on tv a while back, the dialogue was so bad I couldn't make it past the first ten minutes.

Pertaining to National Treasure, when I pointed out Nicholas Cage's granddad was Christopher Plummer, my friend was like "NO WAY!!" repeatedly. She couldn't believe that was Capt von Trapp ::)
Also, Diane Kruger is far too hot for Nic Cage (strangely he resembles John Travolta, hairline especially).

I wanted to love HP6, I really did. But the ending was poo. So yea whatever.
