I dislike huge parties.  I can't eat at parties like that never mind if it's one thrown by family.  And what I really want is something that the kids can enjoy.  Like a trip to the pool or something.

I like hanging out with the kids.  A sign of my advancing age, I guess?  I find that I prefer their company compared to some adults.  I get more sense from my kids than some people I know.
