Hah, had to google it to realize it was a reference to "script kiddies" (wannabe hackers).  Anyone else who googles it, "skiddies" also has another definition listed for it in the Urban Dictionary but I don't think the two are related. :D

Very true. As is the case with most fiction portraying certain real-life or would be imagined as real-life scenarios.

And I thought of the back to the future movies (particularly the first one) when you said that above. ^

It's funny watching those movies now, but I really love them, so heh.  ;D

I remember hearing about Hackers 2.

Yeah Hmed,, those were cool movies if you can forget the laws of physics ( the law of the concervation of energy, etc.)

There is a huge misconception that there was a Hackers, Hackers 2, and Hackers 3.  It comes about because when someone asks about decent hacker movies, the ones usually mentioned are Hackers, Takedown, and Antitrust.

Takedown is a pseudo-true story about Kevin Mitnick, who wasn't really a hacker but rather a social engineer.  I'm sure most people here have heard of him.  My supervisor at work met him one time somewhere and said the guy is a sociopath.
