Youtube and PRS for Music
« on: September 28, 2009, 06:44:01 AM »
Supposedly the reason why some videos are blocked on Youtube is down to the row between Google and PRS for Music:

This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions.

Earlier on in the year, Youtube wanted to renew its licence with PRS. The problem was when it came down to transparency, the PRS wouldn't state what would be part of the licence. Google stated: this time around the licence fee was times more than previous renewals [sic].

PRS stated something on the lines that the fee isn't that high, but yet what did Pandora state about the fees?

???

Youtube is a promotional platform and should be used as such.
