How it all came about,, the skull thing,, is from a south American belief tht if your afraid of something, it has control over you,, you lose that fear and you claim the control back.
I used to be afraid of dying,, but after surounding myself with the concept and wearing things that symbolize death in America,, ive lost my fear and feel free because of it.
Not to mention in Mexico wearing a skull keeps away evil influences.
